Tough Crowd at the Oaks is a Good thing for me!

The Oaks Card Club in Emeryville, has a reputation for great players. They are open 24/7, have a variety of games, and don't seem to lack action. My father and I visited on a Monday at noon, and watched off and on for a couple hours. I can imagine how busy they are on a weekend night!

The level of games I am intersted in due to my bankroll management, are 1/2 Limit Hold'em, 1/2 $100 max NL Hold'em, and 3/6 NL Hold'em.
3/6 Hold'em is the best place to make money, because the rake percentage is less overall. 1/2 $100 max is where I wanted to play, but min buyin was $40, and I only went down with $30. So I had to play Limit Hold'em, which I hate to play. Bounced around from zero to $60 and should have moved over to $100 max 1/2 when I had $40 or more. But did have fun playing for about 4 hours. Been about 10 years since I played live at a casino. This will have to become a regular occurrence as I work on my live game.

It's easier to post daily blogs when you are doing well, than when you are not!
